TechFlow news: At the recent KDDI summit, Tadao Nagasaki, CEO of OpenAI's Japan subsidiary, revealed that OpenAI's next-generation model, codenamed "GPT-Next," is expected to be 100 times more powerful than the current GPT-4 model, with a planned release later this year.
The performance improvement in GPT-Next stems from its optimized architecture and enhanced learning efficiency, rather than relying solely on massive computational resources. He also noted that OpenAI currently has fewer than 2,000 employees worldwide, with about half focused on AI development. OpenAI's key clients include Apple, Coca-Cola, and biotech giant Moderna.
