TechFlow news — Andrew Chen, head of a16z's Games Fund One, announced that the fund will invest $30 million over the next 30 days to support gaming startup companies.
In January 2025, a16z will launch a new program in San Francisco, co-hosted by Andrew Chen and the a16z SPEEDRUN team, offering startups access to workshops, personalized mentorship, and funding. The program will provide $750,000 in investment to each selected startup and will run for 12 weeks, from January 6, 2025, to March 21, 2025.
Featured speakers and mentors during the program will include prominent entrepreneurs such as Zynga co-founder Mark Pincus, Zillow co-founder Spencer Rascoff, and Tinder co-founder Sean Rad.
The program will culminate in a demo day presented to more than 500 angel investors and venture investors. Applications are due by September 30, 2024, and a16z especially welcomes early-stage and newly formed startups.
