TechFlow reports that Dash has announced the official launch of its Evolution chain, which has begun producing blocks, marking the realization of years of development efforts.
The Evolution chain is now executing data contracts and sending files to decentralized storage. Evolution is a pioneering decentralized application platform that enables developers to build applications based on fast, simple, and reliable decentralized data access.
The platform consists of four core components: the Platform Chain, Data Contracts, Data Storage, and the Decentralized API (DAPI).
Initial applications on Evolution include the Dash Platform Name Service (DPNS) and the DashPay payment application contract, designed to provide users with a more intuitive payment experience while ensuring data ownership and privacy.
Dash stated that the Genesis release already includes all the above features along with non-fungible token (NFT) support, with future plans to further improve network stability, launch DPNS and DashPay, and develop support for fungible tokens and increased throughput.
