TechFlow News, according to DLnews, Charles Hoskinson, founder of the Cardano blockchain, announced on the X platform his plan to launch a decentralized social media platform in Brazil. This move comes in response to Brazil's Supreme Court order banning the operation of the X platform in the country.
Hoskinson stated: "Even though Brazil has silenced our brothers and sisters on X, their work will go on—it matters to all of us. I can't wait to recruit many Brazilians to help us build a decentralized social network."
The X platform reportedly has 20 million users in Brazil. The Supreme Court ordered the suspension of the platform's operations in the country after Elon Musk refused to appoint a legal representative to engage with the Brazilian government, leaving many users unable to access X services. Hoskinson's initiative aims to provide Brazilian users with an alternative platform for free speech.
