TechFlow news — According to POLITICO, in a new book set for release next week, former U.S. President Donald Trump alleges that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg conspired against him during the 2020 U.S. presidential election and warns that Zuckerberg will "spend the rest of his life in prison" if he does it again.
This marks Trump’s latest attack on Zuckerberg, whom he has repeatedly accused of interfering in the previous U.S. presidential election. The remarks come as Meta takes steps to reassure conservatives that it will not influence this year’s election campaigns.
"Save America," a book authored by Trump, is scheduled for publication on September 3 and includes an undated photo of Trump meeting with Zuckerberg at the White House. Trump references Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, donating $420 million during the 2020 election to fund election infrastructure.
A Meta spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
