TechFlow reports that BNB Chain has successfully activated the Bohr hard fork on the BSC testnet and plans to implement it on the mainnet on September 26, 2024.
The Bohr hard fork includes four BEP proposals, with the most significant being BEP 341, which allows validators to generate consecutive blocks, thereby enhancing block production capacity to meet the growing demands of the ecosystem.
BEP 341 ensures network fairness by using an Anti-MEV mechanism that adjusts transaction fee distribution, preventing highly efficient validators from gaining unfair advantages.
The adjustment of the number of consecutive blocks produced will be conducted through an on-chain governance process, with voting expected in October 2024.
The Bohr hard fork aims to improve the efficiency, decentralization, and revenue distribution fairness of BNB Chain, while also enhancing its scalability and security.
