TechFlow reports that Georgia Congressman Mike Collins disclosed in his financial report for July to August an investment in Velodrome (VELO), The Graph (GRT), and Aerodrome Finance (AERO), with total amounts of up to $15,000 and $115,000 respectively. On August 4, he partially sold AERO and repurchased it the next day. Collins is one of the few U.S. lawmakers actively trading small-cap tokens; he previously disclosed purchasing up to $65,000 worth of Ethereum.
In the 2024 election, Collins is seeking re-election. Other candidates such as Ted Cruz and Cynthia Lummis have also disclosed cryptocurrency investments. Trump supports Bitcoin mining in the United States and opposes central bank digital currencies.
