TechFlow news: Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin tweeted that Ethereum L1 robustness is improving, and noted strong willingness among L2 projects to collaborate in order to enhance overall ecosystem interoperability.
Vitalik stated that concerns about censorship and centralization over the past year have not materialized, and conditions have instead improved.
He pointed out that the notion that "PoW is the gold standard for assets" is proving to be incorrect, and the proportion of blocks censoring transactions continues to decline. Progress is also emerging in the block-building portion ("the Scourge") of the roadmap, with discussions primarily focusing on FOCL+APS versus BRAID.
Vitalik emphasized that for DeFi, the top priority is ensuring users do not suffer -100% annualized yields. He believes both L1 robustness—including censorship resistance—and the success of smart contract wallets are beneficial in this regard.
