TechFlow News, Fractal Bitcoin announced that its mainnet will officially launch on September 9, 2024, and revealed a detailed token distribution plan. According to the announcement, 80% of tokens will be allocated to the community and 20% to the team and contributors (with vesting periods). The specific breakdown is as follows: 50% for proof-of-work (PoW) mining, 15% for ecosystem treasury, 5% for private sale (7-month lockup, linear release over 12 months), 5% for advisors, 10% for community grants, and 15% for core contributors.
In addition, Fractal has unveiled several upcoming features: the brc-20 protocol will activate at mainnet block height 21,000; PizzaSwap (formerly known as Fractal Swap) will go live on testnet this week; for cross-chain bridges, testing will begin on an embedded mini asset bridge and Bool Bridge; Fractal is also collaborating with multiple wallet providers to expand support beyond UniSat Wallet.
Fractal stated it is conducting key technical optimizations to support more Bitcoin protocols and native Fractal protocols, aiming to attract more applications to join its ecosystem.
