TechFlow news — Dovey Wan, founding partner at Primitive Ventures, believes Ethereum is undergoing a transformation phase akin to "separation of church and state."
She said Ethereum's success originated from its strong "high church," several powerful surrounding "nations," and intellectual leaders who actively participated.
Dovey Wan pointed out that although this process may be painful, it's necessary for building a more decentralized and resilient network of technology stacks, design standards, human capital, and knowledge capital.
She believes that, similar to historical separation of church and state and the Enlightenment movement, the Ethereum ecosystem will grow stronger by decentralizing power and embracing diverse ideas.
New developers may prioritize pragmatic development over political alignment, much like during the rise of DeFi Summer. Dovey Wan also stated that she grows more bullish on ETH when figures from the "high church"—even Vitalik himself—face public challenges.
