TechFlow reported that Gleb Kostarev, CEO and co-founder of hybrid exchange Blum, advised readers to read "The American Trap" by Frédéric Pierucci to understand "what actually happened." The book was previously recommended by Binance CEO Zhao Changpeng (CZ). Kostarev noted that Pierucci's arrest at an airport was part of a broader plan to weaken French company Alstom. He believes similar pressure is now being exerted on Telegram founder Pavel Durov. According to Kostarev, this is nothing new in history.
Additionally, he acknowledged technical difficulties during the DOGS token airdrop process, which caused frustration for users attempting to claim tokens through tasks. He apologized and stated that every transaction would be recorded to ensure fair distribution of the airdrop.
It is known that "The American Trap" author Pierucci was arrested in 2013 by the U.S. Department of Justice on suspicion of commercial bribery and was imprisoned in the United States for some time. The book details his arrest, trial, and experiences in prison. It points out that the U.S. uses legal tools such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) to investigate and sanction foreign companies. While these laws are intended to combat corruption, Pierucci argues they are sometimes used as weapons in economic competition.
