TechFlow reported on August 23, according to Chainwire, that io.net, a DePIN protocol in the Solana ecosystem, has launched a staking program. The initiative aims to enhance the security and performance of the Internet of GPUs (IOG) while providing community members with opportunities to earn rewards for their contributions. Users can stake their devices within the IO Network to turn computing power into a source of income, with block rewards distributed based on device performance.
Gaurav Sharma, CTO of io.net, stated that the program marks a crucial step in strengthening network security and fairly rewarding loyal users. The staking program improves network security by enabling users to directly contribute to the IO Network, enhancing its ability to withstand threats and improving large-scale operational capabilities.
