TechFlow news, on August 23, according to Jinshi Data, Atlanta Fed President Bostic said in an interview with CNBC that the Federal Reserve may need to cut interest rates more than once before the end of the year. This shift in view stems from recent data showing declining inflation and a slowing labor market. Bostic believes it could be appropriate to implement the first rate cut earlier, noting that the pace of inflation slowdown has exceeded expectations.
He emphasized, "The data suggest it's appropriate to take action on interest rates," while also expressing hope to ensure the next few data points align with this trend. Previously, Bostic had indicated he is open to supporting rate cuts. Markets widely expect the Fed to begin cutting rates at its September meeting.
