TechFlow news, on August 22, according to Jinshi Data, the latest data from the U.S. Department of Labor showed that for the week ending August 17, initial jobless claims totaled 232,000, slightly higher than the expected 230,000, with the previous figure revised from 227,000 to 228,000. Meanwhile, continuing claims came in at 1.863 million, below the expected 1.867 million, and the prior value was downwardly revised from 1.864 million to 1.859 million. The four-week moving average for initial claims was 236,000, a slight decrease from the previous 236,500.
