TechFlow news: Origin Protocol has announced the launch of its new product Super OETH (superOETHb) on the Base network in September, marking the first "supercharged" liquid staking token (Supercharged LST). While Super OETH shares similarities with OETH, it is more than just a Base-native version of OETH.
It aims to generate higher ETH returns for holders by amplifying LST yields and offering generous liquidity provider (LP) rewards. Unlike standard L2 network LSTs, Super OETH is expected to deliver significantly higher annual percentage yields (APY), enable more profitable DeFi integrations, and increase revenue for the $OGN DAO.
Origin Protocol plans to use this as a starting point to expand similar high-performance products to other networks. All versions of Super OETH will contribute to the success of the OGN token, with higher yields translating into greater income for OGN stakers.
