TechFlow news: The Stacks community has recently passed the SIP-027 vote, approving the introduction of non-sequential multi-signature transactions to the Stacks layer. This improvement will be released as part of the Nakamoto upgrade, which begins on August 28th Beijing time.
The SIP-027 proposal aims to introduce a more user-friendly multi-sig transaction format that coexists with the current SIP-005 format. Its core objective is to eliminate the requirement for a fixed signer order, thereby simplifying the signing process without compromising security or increasing transaction size. This enhancement will improve wallet support for Stacks multi-sig transactions, ultimately delivering a smoother experience for users.
Next, support for non-sequential multi-sig transactions will be included in the Nakamoto release, offering a more flexible and user-friendly approach to multi-sig transactions on the Stacks layer. Meanwhile, a vote related to the sBTC Bootstrap phase (SIP-028) is expected around mid-September.
