TechFlow reports, SlowMist founder Yu Xian warned users who have used Seif Wallet to be cautious, as it has been confirmed that a small number of private keys and passwords were collected by a third-party analytics platform built into the wallet.
Luckily, this issue was discovered and reported by a white-hat hacker. The founder believes this may not be an intentional act by the third-party analytics platform, but rather similar to previous cases where Sentry was misused to collect highly sensitive information that should not have been gathered. Users are advised to stay vigilant and protect their asset security.
