TechFlow news: Although several senior Democratic officials have previously suggested that Kamala Harris's presidential campaign would shift away from the Biden administration's anti-crypto monetary policies, the Democratic Party's 2024 platform does not mention cryptocurrency or digital asset policy. The 91-page platform covers a wide range of topics including "corporate greed," housing, education, U.S. foreign policy, and geopolitical strategy, but makes no reference to currency devaluation or proposing austerity measures to control U.S. government spending.
Fred Thiel, CEO of MARA, said he expects Harris's platform will not mention Bitcoin, and explained that major Bitcoin mining firms may consider opportunities outside the United States depending on the outcome of the 2024 presidential election.
During a recent unofficial campaign event called "Crypto4Harris," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer pledged that if Harris wins the presidency in November, she would implement crypto-supportive policies.
