TechFlow news, on August 19, according to Fintech Finance, Banca Sella, a well-known Italian bank established in 1886, has launched Bitcoin trading services on its mobile banking platform Hype. The platform, which has over 1.2 million users, is currently conducting a limited test for Hype Plus (premium) users and is expected to roll out to all users in a few days.
Users can now buy and sell Bitcoin directly on the Hype platform without needing to go through an exchange. In addition, Hype allows users to send Bitcoin to contacts in their address book and spend it where cryptocurrency payments are accepted. Banca Sella promotes its Bitcoin wallet as "completely free," requiring only "four steps" to activate. Despite Italy being under pandemic lockdown, Banca Sella's move could boost cryptocurrency adoption, offering users an alternative to traditional financial channels for money transfers.
