TechFlow reported on August 19 that according to Trader T's statistics, the number of institutional holders of spot Bitcoin ETFs significantly increased in the second quarter of 2024. BlackRock's IBIT had 582 institutional holders, a 34% increase from the first quarter, holding 118 million shares (excluding options), up 47% quarter-on-quarter. Fidelity's FBTC had 303 institutional holders, up 25% quarter-on-quarter, holding 50.4 million shares (excluding options), an increase of 35%. Bitwise's BITB had 139 institutional holders, up 35% quarter-on-quarter, holding 14.7 million shares (excluding options), a 50% increase.
