TechFlow reports that despite Bitcoin's hashrate price hovering below $44 per PH/s daily, network hashrate is climbing again. Between August 9 and 17, the hashrate increased from 612 EH/s to 637 EH/s, rising by 25 EH/s over eight days. After the difficulty adjustment on August 14, miners significantly boosted computing power. Network difficulty dropped from 90.66 trillion to 86.87 trillion—a 4.19% decline—relieving pressure caused by the 10.5% increase on July 31.
On the day of the difficulty adjustment, the hashrate stood at 624 EH/s, indicating a 13 EH/s increase within 72 hours. Low Bitcoin prices and cheap on-chain transaction fees drove the hashrate price to a record low of $35 per PH/s on August 5.
