TechFlow news, August 16 — According to The Block, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced on Friday that Howard Lutnick, CEO of Wall Street bond trading giant Cantor Fitzgerald, would help lead his transition team if he is re-elected. Cantor Fitzgerald has been custodian of Tether's assets since late 2021.
Alexander Grieve, Vice President of Government Affairs at Paradigm, said Lutnick’s involvement is highly significant for the crypto industry, calling him a "crypto bull." Last year, Lutnick gave a detailed briefing to the House Republican Conference on stablecoins and is widely known for his strong support of cryptocurrencies.
