The assessment was based on five key metrics: production and hash rate, operational and energy efficiency, power, cost of hash rate, and artificial intelligence strategy. Core Scientific leads in hash cost and AI strategy, while CleanSpark and IREN excel in energy efficiency. Although Riot lags slightly in production and efficiency, it has compensated through power credits and improved production efficiency. Marathon has enhanced its operational efficiency by shifting to a self-operated mining model.
