TechFlow news: Blockchain company Sonic Labs (formerly Fantom) announced that board member Andre Cronje has officially taken on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
In his new position, Andre will continue to lead the design and development of the new Sonic network, particularly focusing on the native cross-chain bridge technology called "Sonic Gateway," which aims to enhance the security and convenience of cross-chain asset transfers.
Andre Cronje stated that as an aBFT L1 network, Sonic confirms transactions with just consensus approval, achieving sub-second finality. Sonic Gateway also features a fail-safe mechanism allowing users to recover funds on the original chain.
