On inflation, Trump said, "People are being absolutely destroyed by inflation" and "We have to bring prices down." Regarding the oil and gas industry, Musk stated, "I don't think we should be disparaging the oil and gas industry." He noted that the economy depends on these energy sources. However, he added that due to environmental pollution, he hopes the U.S. will transition toward a "more sustainable economy."
