TechFlow news, August 12 — SpaceX plans to launch its first crewed mission to explore Earth's polar regions later this year, with four participants on board. The flight is named Fram2, honoring the Norwegian ship that pioneered Arctic and Antarctic expeditions between 1893 and 1912.
According to SpaceX’s mission description: "Fram2 will be commanded by Maltese entrepreneur and adventurer Chun Wang. Wang aims to use this mission to highlight the crew’s spirit of exploration, inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity among the public, and demonstrate how technology can help push the boundaries of Earth exploration through mission research." Chun Wang is known as the co-founder of F2Pool and founder and CEO of stake.fish.
