TechFlow reported on August 6, according to The Block, that Tim Walz, the running mate of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, pushed for stringent regulatory legislation targeting cryptocurrency kiosks during his tenure as Governor of Minnesota, aiming to enhance consumer protection and market transparency.
Although Walz has not publicly stated his specific stance on cryptocurrencies, according to a report by the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), his regulatory views align closely with those of Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, both advocating for stricter oversight of the cryptocurrency industry.
Previous report, Harris has selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
