TechFlow news, according to Axios, two U.S. officials said General Michael Kurilla, head of U.S. Central Command, arrived in the Middle East on Saturday local time.
Three U.S. and Israeli officials said they expect Iran to launch an attack on Monday. They noted that Kurilla's trip to the Middle East had been planned before the recent escalation of tensions between Israel, Iran, and Hezbollah, and was intended to include visits to several Gulf countries, Jordan, and Israel. However, he is expected to use this visit to help rally international and regional alliances.
U.S. and Israeli officials said they do not know whether Iran and Hezbollah will launch a coordinated attack or act separately. They also said both Iran and Hezbollah are still finalizing their respective military plans and seeking political approval.
