TechFlow reported on August 2 that, according to DL News, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong proposed the idea of creating a crypto index fund called the "Coinbase 500" during the company's earnings call on Thursday. He said it would help retail products develop within the crypto space. Although Coinbase's trading volume for Q2 was $226 billion, down from $312 billion in the previous quarter, it exceeded analysts' expectations. Armstrong noted that launching a crypto index faces regulatory hurdles and requires a more favorable policy environment.
