The Tokyo Stock Price Index plunged over 6%, marking its largest daily drop since 2016. Taiwan's Weighted Index fell 4.4%, with the semiconductor sector leading losses; TSMC declined nearly 6%. At the time of reporting, South Korea's KOSPI index was down nearly 4%, while the Philippines' stock index dropped over 2%.
