TechFlow News — On Friday, August 1, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and other Democratic lawmakers introduced a bill aimed at countering the Supreme Court's recent ruling on former President Trump's presidential immunity.
The proposed legislation states that the President and Vice President of the United States do not have immunity from prosecution for violations of federal criminal law while in office. It also clarifies that Congress, not the Supreme Court, is the branch of government responsible for determining the applicability of federal criminal statutes.
