TechFlow News, July 16, according to Sina Finance, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to initiate a 337 investigation into Certain Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) Devices, Products Containing the Same, and Components Thereof (II) (Certain Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) Devices, Products Containing the Same, and Components Thereof (II)) (Investigation No.: 337-TA-1511). It is alleged that the products exported to the U.S., imported into the U.S., and sold in the U.S. violate U.S. Section 337 (infringing U.S. Registered Patent Nos. 12,646,537, 12,650,937), requesting the U.S. ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and a cease and desist order.
Korean Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Suwon, Republic of Korea, U.S. Samsung Electronics America, Inc., Plano, Texas, U.S. Samsung Semiconductor, Inc., Plano, Texas, U.S. Google LLC, Mountain View, California, U.S. Super Micro Computer, Inc., San Jose, California, U.S. NVIDIA Corp., Santa Clara, California, and U.S. Broadcom Inc., Palo Alto, California are the named respondents.
The U.S. International Trade Commission will determine the target date for completion of the investigation within 45 days after the institution of the investigation. Except where vetoed by the U.S. Trade Representative for policy reasons, relief orders issued by the U.S. International Trade Commission in 337 cases become effective on the date of issuance and become final on the 60th day after the date of issuance.
