TechFlow reports, on July 30, the Jito Foundation announced the mainnet launch of the StakeNet Steward program, advancing decentralized staking pool management. Starting from July 29, 2024, the Jito staking pool transferred its governance to the StakeNet protocol, marking a significant step toward building an autonomous and perpetual staking infrastructure, supporting the Solana DeFi ecosystem.
The program empowers the community to enhance the security and transparency of JitoSOL, addressing the current lack of decentralization in Solana LSTs. The state transition of the StakeNet Steward program is permissionless, allowing any Solana community member to participate, ensuring the continuous operation of the staking pool.
