TechFlow News, Arbitrum has proposed activating ArbOS 31, planning implementation across the Arbitrum One and Nova networks. Key upgrades include:
-
Activation of Arbitrum Stylus, enabling EVM application development with Rust or C++.
-
Addition of secp256r1 curve validation precompiles to reduce verification costs.
-
Optimization of Arbitrum Nova's fee collection mechanism.
The "Bianca" version of ArbOS 31 incorporates the latest optimizations and will be implemented via a new Nitro node release and upgrade contracts. Stylus introduces a WebAssembly virtual machine running in parallel with the EVM, enhancing smart contract development efficiency. The proposal has passed temperature check and is about to proceed to on-chain AIP voting, scheduled to begin on August 1.
