TechFlow news — On July 28, according to sources cited by the Financial Times, campaign advisors for U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris recently reached out to key figures in the cryptocurrency industry to build relationships and ultimately shape a regulatory framework. The outreach reportedly included crypto exchange Coinbase, stablecoin firm Circle, and blockchain payments company Ripple Labs.
The message Harris hopes to convey, according to sources, is that the Democratic Party is "pro-business, pro-responsible business." Her rise as the Democratic nominee for president is also seen as an opportunity to reset relations with the tech industry, after the Biden administration's regulatory stance drew backlash from this sector, which has traditionally leaned liberal.
