TechFlow news — On July 21, U.S. President Biden announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election and stated he would support Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate.
Biden pledged to participate in Harris's campaign activities. In response to calls from some Republican members urging him to step down immediately, Biden said he intends to fulfill his duties during the final months of his presidency.
Earlier, Mike Johnson, Republican Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, posted a statement after Biden's announcement urging him to resign immediately from his current presidential position.
