TechFlow news, the political action committee (PAC) Protect Progress has spent over $1.3 million supporting Democratic candidate Yassamin Ansari's campaign for Arizona's Third Congressional District seat. Ansari supports blockchain and crypto innovation and completed Coinbase's Stand With Crypto questionnaire, indicating that if elected, she would support pro-crypto legislation.
According to Protect Progress' website, the Super PAC backs Democratic candidates committed to making the United States a home for next-generation internet innovators, specifically mentioning blockchain technology. The organization is also linked to Fairshake PAC, which previously funded attack ads against Democratic candidates in California and New York.
In addition, in April this year, Protect Progress spent approximately $3.7 million supporting Democratic candidates in congressional elections in Texas and Alabama. In these elections, major-party presidential candidates voiced positions on cryptocurrency for the first time, potentially influencing voting behavior among single-issue voters.
