TechFlow reports that MakerDAO founder Rune Christensen has announced the launch of the NewGovToken activation feature. Holders who activate their NewGovToken will receive SPK rewards, accounting for 15% of total rewards.
NewGovToken can be obtained by upgrading MKR at a 1:24,000 ratio, with no lock-up period and the ability to deactivate at any time. In the future, stablecoin rewards and token rewards from other SubDAOs may also become available. The feature requires approval through a governance process and is not available to users in the United States or those using VPNs.
