TechFlow reports, citing Cointelegraph, that financial services provider Stripe has expanded its cryptocurrency integration into the European market, allowing local customers to purchase cryptocurrencies via credit or debit cards. According to Irish Independent, shoppers within the EU can now use cards issued by Stripe to buy multiple cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Stripe stated that online merchants can add a "widget" for cryptocurrency purchases on their websites, which will handle associated payment processing, disputes, and KYC regulatory requirements for online crypto transactions. John Egan, Stripe's head of crypto, said this expansion enables crypto companies to help European consumers "quickly and easily buy cryptocurrency."
