TechFlow news, July 12 — According to Bloomberg, Argentine fintech startup Tapi has raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Kaszek, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and others. Tomas Mindlin, co-founder and CEO of Tapi, said the company is expanding its operations in Mexico.
Tapi serves as a payment processor for major Latin American platforms such as Mercado Pago and cryptocurrency exchange Lemon, and is expected to process around $400 million in payments this year across five countries. With approximately 70 employees primarily based in Argentina, Tapi anticipates its total transaction volume will grow fivefold by year-end, reaching 10 million transactions per month.
