According to CME's "FedWatch," the probability of the Fed holding rates steady in August is 91.2%, while the probability of a 25-basis-point rate cut is 8.8%.
The probability of the Fed holding rates steady through September is 7.3%, with a cumulative 84.6% chance of a 25-basis-point cut and an 8.1% chance of a cumulative 50-basis-point cut.
