TechFlow reported, according to Jinshi Data, the U.S. June core CPI year-on-year rate stood at 3.3%, below the market expectation of 3.4%, marking the lowest level since April 2021. The seasonally adjusted core CPI month-on-month rate for June came in at 0.1%, the lowest since August 2021, compared to a market forecast of 0.2%.
The U.S. June unadjusted CPI year-on-year rate was recorded at 3.0%, significantly lower than the expected 3.1%, sharply falling to the lowest level since July last year. The seasonally adjusted CPI month-on-month rate for June dropped to -0.1%, the first negative reading since May 2020.
