TechFlow news, according to The Block, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said in a keynote speech at ETHCC in Brussels that under a 51% attack on the Ethereum network, malicious actors could generate more Ethereum blocks than honest ones, potentially leading to network censorship. He emphasized that Ethereum needs to develop an automated response mechanism so that when transaction or validator censorship is detected, honest nodes can automatically perform anti-censorship actions against the majority chain and coordinate to operate on the same minority chain.
Additionally, Vitalik advocated for increased adoption of light clients within Ethereum's infrastructure layer, especially in wallets. These light clients should also support zk-EVM verification, providing further support for Layer 2 networks. He believes the protocol should be further simplified to make work easier for both developers and users.
