TechFlow reports, citing CoinDesk, that a Republican poll sponsored by crypto investment firm Paradigm indicates former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent support for cryptocurrencies may be persuading some Republicans to view him more favorably. Data shows 13% of respondents who originally did not plan to vote for him changed their minds due to his stance on crypto.
The survey was conducted by Echelon Insights in mid-June and included over a thousand likely Republican voters. A majority of respondents (60%) believe Congress needs to establish regulations for crypto businesses, while more than a quarter (28%) have held cryptocurrency, with ownership skewed toward younger, male, and non-white demographics.
