TechFlow reports that Ethereum core developers Francesco D'Amato, Barnabé Monnot, Michael Neuder, Potuz, and Terence Tsao have formally proposed EIP-7732. Created on June 28, 2024, this proposal aims to fundamentally change the way Ethereum blocks are validated by logically and temporally separating execution validation from consensus validation.
EIP-7732 introduces a new role (builder) and responsibilities (submitting payload timeliness proofs), along with modifications to BeaconBlockBody. This proposal addresses trust issues, improves network propagation speed, and reduces the likelihood of chain reorganizations.
