TechFlow News — Kraken co-founder Jesse Powell announced on his social media platform that he has personally donated $1 million to Donald Trump's presidential campaign, primarily in ETH.
Powell stated that the crypto industry has long faced attacks from figures such as Elizabeth Warren and Gary Gensler. Despite bipartisan efforts in Congress to establish clear regulations, the Biden administration has stood by, allowing enforcement agencies to engage in unchecked regulatory actions. As other major global economies roll out clear digital asset regulatory frameworks, this approach is undermining U.S. competitiveness.
In his tweet, Powell expressed enthusiasm about uniting with other leaders in the crypto community behind the only major party candidate in the 2024 presidential election who supports cryptocurrency, so that the United States can maintain its leadership in blockchain technology.
