TechFlow news, according to The Block, the AssangeDAO token surged over 80% after Julian Assange was released from Belmarsh prison in the UK. Assange is expected to plead guilty to a charge in a court on the Pacific island of Saipan, which could allow him to go free and return to Australia.
Since its launch in February this year, AssangeDAO has raised 16,593 ETH, with 11,000 ETH (approximately $37 million) allocated for legal defense and advocacy. Assange's case involves charges under the U.S. Espionage Act. He has reached a plea agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice, under which he is expected to be sentenced to 62 months in prison. However, since he has already served more time in UK detention than that, he may be released soon.
