TechFlow news: ZKsync has announced a shift to an "elastic chain" architecture, transforming ZKsync from a single ZK rollup chain into a network of multiple ZK chains with native interoperability, as part of the ZKsync 3.0 roadmap.
The changes include restructuring the native bridge into a token vault to improve connectivity between ZK chains.
The elastic chain architecture aims to enable seamless operations, where transactions require only a single wallet confirmation without the need to switch networks or manually bridge assets. Starting with ZKsync Era, the network will eventually include over 20 chains built using the ZK Stack toolkit, with plans to launch on mainnet by the end of 2024.
