TechFlow reports that CleanSpark, one of the largest publicly traded Bitcoin mining companies in the U.S. by market capitalization, plans to acquire 60 megawatts of infrastructure across rural Georgia.
The company has signed definitive agreements to purchase five turnkey sites for $25.8 million in cash, equating to approximately $430,000 per megawatt. The sites range in size from 8 to 15 megawatts, and the transaction is expected to close immediately.
CleanSpark intends to deploy previously ordered Antminer S21 Pro units at these facilities, which are expected to add 3.7 EH/s of hash rate upon full deployment.
