TechFlow news — On June 18, Sonic, an atomic SVM Layer 2 on Solana, announced the completion of a $12 million Series A funding round led by Bitkraft, with participation from Galaxy Interactive, Big Brain Holdings, Matt Sorg (Solana founding team), Nom (Bonk), and other institutions and individuals.
Sonic is the first SVM L2 to achieve atomic interoperability with Solana. It introduces an innovative scaling framework called HyperGrid, which consolidates gaming consensus across Solana to further unlock liquidity potential for memes, gaming assets, and applications on the Solana mainnet. Sonic was built by Mirror World Labs, a company deeply rooted in the Solana ecosystem focused on gaming.
Notably, Sonic will soon launch a testnet incentive program, inviting users to experience its ecosystem games on testnet and earn opportunities for token airdrops.
